Upcoming Workshops and Events
SERIES: Write, Now!
Write, Now! is a creative writing group for people who want to write more, meet other writers, and talk about writing… while also feeling a very reasonable amount of panic about all three.
If you’ve ever thought I wish I wrote more followed immediately by yes, but not in front of people, you are exactly who this is for.
We welcome the brand-new and the slightly nervous, the long-time journal keepers, the secret poets, the lapsed novelists, and the curious wanderers who aren’t quite sure what they write yet. At Write, Now!, the goal isn’t perfection — it’s momentum, play, and permission.
Together we’ll use generative prompts, small experiments, and collaborative exercises to get words onto the page (sometimes surprisingly easily). Along the way, we’ll practice how to share writing in a way that feels safe, respectful, and actually enjoyable. There will also be space for relaxed, gently guided conversations about the writing life — blocks, habits, inspiration, doubts, and the strange mystery of why characters suddenly refuse to cooperate.
You won’t need to prepare anything. You won’t be put on the spot. You won’t be judged.
You will leave with new pages, new ideas, and probably new people you’re happy to see again — plus a growing sense that writing isn’t something you someday start.
It’s something you can do right now.
Write, Now!
ATELIER: Ikebana
Please bring a round flat vessel such as a cake pan or dish.
SERIES: Watercolour (4 Classes)
Watercolour Magic!
Ever wanted to try watercolour without feeling like you have to “get it right”?
This four-class series is your friendly, no-pressure introduction to the magical, slightly unpredictable world of watercolour.
We’ll cover all the fundamentals—how much water is too much water, what those brushes actually do, how pigments like to mingle (or misbehave), and how to work with the flow instead of fighting it. Each class builds on the last, gently guiding you through washes, layering, colour mixing, and simple techniques that bring your paintings to life.
Expect guided demos, playful exercises, and plenty of room to experiment, make happy accidents, and discover your own style along the way. No prior experience needed—just curiosity, a willingness to let go, and maybe a love of watching colours bloom across the page.
By the end of the series, you’ll have a solid foundation, a handful of finished pieces, and the confidence to keep exploring watercolour on your own.
Come for the basics, stay for the magic
SERIES: March 26, April 2, April 9, April 16
ATELIER/WORKSHOP: Manifestez! / Make Manifest
In this workshop, we’ll gently move through a simple three-part creative process designed to help you imagine — and begin shaping — the life, work, relationships, or change you want to welcome into your world.
Step one: Dream.
Through a guided visualization, you’ll let your mind wander and notice what appears — scenes, colours, symbols, memories, or even movement. There’s no right answer here, just curiosity.
Step two: Make.
Using the materials provided, you’ll collage, layer, and arrange your images into a small artwork you can take home — a visual reminder of what you’re calling in.
Step three: Make it so.
Place your finished piece somewhere you’ll see it often. Let it quietly nudge you each day toward the life you’re growing into.
This workshop is open to everyone — experienced artists, beginners, and especially those convinced they “aren’t creative.” (You are. We promise.)
You’re welcome to bring a project in progress, or simply be inspired by the wide selection of materials available at . kiosk . Studio.

We’ll provide everything you need: a 9×12 canvas, a variety of mosses in different colours and textures, glue, and a delightful assortment of extras — think antlers, dried flowers, mushrooms, and other curious woodland finds.
You’re also welcome to bring your own tiny treasures to include: special stones, sticks, crystals, shells, or anything small that wants a second life as art.
No pressure, no perfection — just a relaxed space to make something beautiful with your hands.
