IKEBANA
Ikebana—often called “the way of flowers”—is an ancient Japanese floral art that’s less about stuffing a vase and more about playing with line, movement, tension, and deliciously empty space.
In this workshop, you’ll be gently introduced to the basics, followed by a short demo that shows how flowers can lean, stretch, and speak for themselves.
After a few simple breathing exercises to help everyone settle in and tune their focus, you’ll put the principles of ikebana into practice by creating a simple, balanced arrangement of your own.
No rush, no rules-policing—just mindful making and a new way of seeing flowers. You’ll head home with your arrangement (flowers and branches included) so you can keep exploring long after the workshop ends.
Please bring a round flat vessel such as a cake pan or dish.
This is a bilingual (English/French) workshop.
